Murtaza Ahmadi, the Afghan boy who became famous around the world for wearing a Lionel Messi jersey made of plastic, made his biggest dream come true: he met his idol. The Qatar 2020 World Cup Organizing Committee tweeted a video of the meeting of the Argentine Barcelona star with little Murtaza in his arms. The meeting took place in Doha, where Barcelona is these days to play a friendly match with Al Ahli. Murtaza, 6, caught everyone's attention when a photo of him wearing a T-shirt made from a plastic bag went viral. The bag, with white and blue stripes, had the name and number of the Argentine '10' written in blue ink. Internet users began searching for the mysterious child last January, when one of the most popular Leo Messi fan accounts on Twitter published an image of him in which he was wearing a plastic shirt with the footballer's name. The little boy later received an original jersey from his idol and a soccer ball, his father, Arif Ayhmadi, told CNN. "He wants to meet Messi," his father said at the time. And that dream came true.

For example, in the face of two tangentially similar controversies, that of the accusations of glorifying terrorism against César Strawberry and the puppeteers of Madrid, Julián Hernández (Siniestro Total) declaredhere is America Mobile Number List nothing sacred, everything can be talked about and nothing is an apology for nothing. Fiction is fiction  and what can be said in a song will always be fiction. This kind of impunity is dangerous," he says. "It creates animosity between the park and the people who live on the periphery." The cause was taken up by the NGO Survival International, which maintains that the rights of tribal communities have been sacrificed for the benefit of wildlife protection. "The park is run with enormous brutality," says campaign leader Sophie Grig. «There is no jury, there is no judge, there are no questions asked. And the scariest thing is that there are plans to implement this shoot-on-sight policy across India.” Human cost But it is not just efforts to curb illegal hunting that threaten the local population. Large wild animals like tigers and rhinos need a lot of space. To accommodate them, India is planning a massive expansion of its national park network. It is great news for the species, but these plans involve the transfer of 900 villages. It is estimated that more than 200,000 people will have to leave their homes.

The eviction orders have already been sent. Recently, state police evicted two communities amid protests that ended with stones thrown by locals, who were beaten with sticks and dispersed by police. Two people - a father and a young student - died as a result. Later, excavators arrived and the park lent its elephants to demolish all the houses in the town. Critics see in this destruction more evidence of the brutal methodology for the sake of conservation. The problem is that the tactic works: since they began using it in 2013, the number of rhinos hunted has decreased. In 2016 they only killed 18. But what matters is what the long-term cost will be, says Pranab Doley, who believes the park's attitude hides a distorted view of conservation. "This is their policy and philosophy: get people out of here and create a pure and pristine forest," he explains. But if the park continues to advance, he says, it will destroy ancient tribal cultures like his own. And it can also thwart the efforts that people in these tribes make to protect their animals. “Without the people who take care of the forest, no forest department will be able to protect Kaziranga. It is the human shield that is protecting Kaziranga. It is obvious that the protection of threatened species is not in question, but the human costs must also be taken into account.
